Friends of Autistic People
FAP is a 501 (c) (3) all volunteer advocacy and education organization in Greenwich. In addition to advocating we serve as a resource on autism issues for parents and the legislators .
We also have ongoing projects for direct help to adults and children on the autism spectrum. We started FAP's music therapy program a few years ago and we financially help economically struggling families to enable their adult and younger children to participate in music therapy.
We are also actively working on planning our Community of Homesteads Project that when brought to reality will create a residential community in a suburban area for adults with profound autism to live and learn skills such as crafts, horticulture and animal care.
