Carter Ashforth, a native of Fairfield County, has been working at Family Centers, since March 2016. At Family Centers, Carter works with the communications and development team, focusing on growing Family Centers' donor base, through corporate philanthropy and community partnerships tied to volunteer engagement. Volunteers are an integral part of Family Centers, and Carter takes great pride in fostering a community of more than 3,000 volunteers each year. Carter graduated from Gettysburg College with a B.A. in English in 2013, and prior to joining the Family Centers team, she ran the volunteer program for Sofar Sounds Nashville, producing intimate concerts all of which are run by volunteers. When not meeting and working with the wonderful volunteers and community partners at Family Centers, Carter still gives her time to Sofar Sounds, as a volunteer in NYC.
