**Immediate Need** Disaster Relief Volunteers Needed
American Red Cross
What we are looking for:
The American Red Cross is urgently looking for individuals who are willing to support our national disaster relief operations in places like California, Oregon, and Louisiana. In order to support these relief efforts in any capacity, a volunteer will need to commit to a 14-day deployment and take all required virtual training within 72 hrs of receiving class information. The Red Cross is making every effort to protect our workforce and clients by providing the necessary PPE and enforcing social distancing guidelines. The area we need the most support is in our relief shelters. See below for more detailed information about the opportunity. SHELTER HELP NEEDED Because of COVID-19, the Red Cross is placing those needing a safe place to stay in emergency hotel lodging when possible. If hotel stays aren’t possible, then the Red Cross will open traditional shelters in accordance with CDC guidelines regarding COVID-19. To help keep volunteers and clients safe, we have put in place additional precautions and developed special training for our workforce. Shelter volunteers help staff shelter reception areas, register clients, support feeding efforts, help with dormitory assignments, information collection and other vital tasks to keep the shelters running smoothly for those we serve. If you can commit to the required 14 days, please follow this link to begin the registration process: www.redcross.org/volunteertoday. If you have questions or would like more information, you can email firstname.lastname@example.org.
You either own this opportunity, already applied for this opportunity, or are not registered as a volunteer!
