Danbury Schools and Business Collaborative
Mentoring, Youth Development
What we are looking for:
DSABC is seeking caring adult volunteers to mentor students in Danbury Public Schools. You can make a difference volunteering just one hour per week. A mentor is a friend, cheerleader, supporter and positive adult role model. DSABC mentors engage weekly in a one on one relationship with a student. Mentors share their time playing games, reading, talking, listening and helping with academics. Mentors provide moral support and encouragement. All activities take place on school grounds during the school year. Mentors are assigned based on preference for age level and proximity to work or home. DSABC mentors serve students in 13 elementary, 3 middle and 3 high schools in Danbury.
