COVID-19 VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES IN BRIDGEPORT
Food Pantry
- During the pandemic, we are providing meal bags and groceries to anyone in need. Those who have lost income or a job, are temporarily homeless, or are facing other crises have been especially hurt by COVID-19. We offer guests fresh produce, meats, dairy, bread, and dry goods. Volunteers help unload donated food, create grocery bags, deliver food, and/or clean up.

Donation Center
- We welcome donations of canned and boxed foods, as well as new and gently used clothing. In the fall, we accept gently used winter coats/hats/gloves/scarves, blankets, and NEW socks. Volunteers help to sort these donations and to create bags of dry goods for our Food Pantry program. Click the HERE to volunteer.
Help from Home
We host large-scale community outreaches at various times of the year. These events are great for civic, church, and corporate volunteer groups. Kids love to help too, so we encourage parents, teachers, coaches, and civic leaders to help kids make a difference! They can collect toiletries / canned foods / coats / blankets, bake cookies for our residents, and create Blessing Bags. Please bring these donations to our Donation Center at 1069 Connecticut Avenue #2B, Bridgeport, Tuesday – Saturday from 9am – 5pm.
