7th Annual High School Essay Contest

"WHY IS VOLUNTEERING AND MAKING AN IMPACT ON YOUR COMMUNITY IMPORTANT TO YOU!"

VOLUNTEER SQUARE WANTS TO KNOW!

We thrilled to announce the 7th Annual High School Essay Contest. The essay contest invites high school students in Connecticut to share "Why volunteering and making an impact on their community is important?" 

The rules are simple and the prizes are awesome. To enter the contest, tell us, in 500 words or less, "Why volunteering and making an impact on your community important to you?" To be eligible to participate you must be a high school student, ages 13 to 21 years old. The contest is open to all Connecticut public and private high schools. Essays will ONLY be accepted Friday, November 1, 2019, through Friday, November 8, 2019. To submit your essay, email it to essays@volunteersquare.com. Important note: essays received before or after these dates will not be considered.

Judges from Hearst Media Services Connecticut LLC and Volunteer Square Inc. will select a first, second and third place winner, based on the quality of the essay and how well it addresses the topic of "why volunteering and making an impact on your community important." Winners will be notified by email by November 15, 2019.
