The Helping Hands Challenge

Volunteer Square high school interns help us build and strengthen Connecticut communities through service work.  As volunteer ambassadors in their schools, area towns, and in their peer groups, the high school interns are crucial to our organization and without their project coordination, and volunteer recruitment, we would not be able to make such a large impact in area towns. We are proud to have worked with over 40 high school interns from 15 towns in Connecticut, since 2016.

Our current cohort of interns has been working hard during our recent COVID crisis to identify the areas where there is the most need for in-person and virtual volunteers. They've created a four-week challenge for people to help where and when they can. During this four week challenge, the interns will be promoting opportunities and encouraging everyone to participate by giving a HELPING HAND!

Each week, after you complete the task, log into your volunteer account, and "Add Your Volunteer Hours" on your dashboard. If you don't have an account, this a great time to set one up. We can't wait to hear how you are doing with the challenge each week and we hope you will share with your friends!
