Teen Advisory Board

Find out how it feels to volunteer at the Library!

The Weston Public Library has a cool and fun Teen Advisory Board, it is a group of teens who join together with the Young Adult Librarian. They meet to help create new volunteering opportunities, new teen programs, and voicing what they wish to see happening in the YA Space. The Teen Advisory Board at Weston tries to do a simar job like we do at Volunteer Square but for teens.

What is the Teen Advisory Boar?

Once a month you will be asked to attend one of their creative Teen Advisory Board meetings, which are about an hour long. They would like volunteers to attend at least 5 teen programs thoughtout the year. Which programs you attend is up to you and it can be programs you are helping create or ones you just have an inrerest in.

What types of programs does Teen Advisory Board group create?

The fun and cool part about this opportunity is that you can create any new programs that you can imagine. Love to create new thing? Create a film! Love reading? Create a reading program! You are good with computers? You can teach how to use computers! Any thing you can think of can always be done with the help of the young adult community.
